Building the Next Generation of Pueblo's Legal Community
The Pueblo County Bar Association's Young Lawyers Division is the home for attorneys under 36 — or within their first five years of practice — who are building their careers and their roots in Pueblo County.
We organize happy hours, mentorship programs, pro bono opportunities, and CLE events designed for lawyers at the start of their careers. Whether you graduated from law school last year or a few years ago, YLD is the fastest way to get connected in Pueblo's legal community.
YLD members are also eligible to serve on the PCBA Executive Board and take on leadership roles within the Association.
Who Can Join YLD?
YLD membership is included with your PCBA membership — no additional dues.
Networking Events
Regular happy hours, mixers, and informal gatherings where young Pueblo attorneys connect with each other, senior attorneys, and local judges.
Mentorship Program
YLD pairs early-career attorneys with experienced PCBA members for one-on-one mentorship on practice management, client development, and career growth.
Pro Bono Service
YLD members are active volunteers at PCBA pro bono clinics, with dedicated slots at the Family Law Clinic and courthouse self-help desk.
CLE Programming
YLD organizes CLE sessions geared toward newer attorneys — covering practical skills like depositions, courtroom procedure, and client communications.
Courthouse Orientation
Annual orientation for newly admitted attorneys on Pueblo Combined Courts procedures, clerk expectations, and local practice norms.
Community Involvement
YLD participates in law-related education programs at Pueblo schools and community legal literacy initiatives — teaching residents about their rights.
